Foreign Ministry’s leaders congratulate Laos’ traditional New Year

To celebrate  Laos’ traditional New Year celebration, Bunpimay, Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Dinh Quy on April 7th led a delegation of the Foreign Ministry to  the Lao Embassy in Hanoi.

At the get-together , as both sides are  to celebrate  the Vietnam-Laos Friendship and Solidarity Year (1962-2017), Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Dinh Quy congratulated Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Thongsavanh Phomvihane,  the Lao Embassy’s staff and their families on this auspicious occasion.

Deputy Minister Dang Dinh Quy said the special and traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos  founded by President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Souphanouvong have been  nurtured by generations of Party and State leaders and peoples of the two countries.

The Deputy Minister expressed his delight at the development of the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Thongsavanh Phomvihane thanked the leaders of the Foreign Ministry for the latter's New Year greetings and said he hoped to receive more support  from the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry to fulfill the Embassy’s mission.  The Vietnamese Deputy Minister highlighted the importance of the Vietnam-Lao and Lao-Vietnam Friendship and Solidarity Year, the 55th anniversary of Vietnam-Lao diplomatic ties (5/9/1962–5/9/2017) and the 40th anniversary of the Vietnam-Lao Cooperation and Friendship Treaty (18/7/1977–18/7/2017). These events are of special importance in boosting  understanding and knowledge of the special Vietnam-Lao ties among officials, Party members, and the public, especially the youth in the two countries.

Lao Ambassador highlighted the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos

Lao Ambassador Thongsavanh Phomvihane reiterated the special relationship between the two countries and expressed his belief that the bilateral relations between the two countries would ever be stable and strong with more efficiency and substance.. He pledged  to work closely with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to boost the development of bilateral ties.

On this occasion, Ambassador Thongsavanh Phomvihane conveyed the  New Year greetings to Vietnamese leaders, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh and leaders and staff of the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry,  wishing  them health, happiness and  every success in national construction and defense on the socialist path.
